Receives Honor
Julie Jennings, Vice President of
Employee Benefits at the Sylvia Group of
Insurance Agencies was recently honored
at the completion of her two-year term as
President of the Massachusetts state chapter
of the National Association of Health
Underwriters. This is the only organization
exclusively dedicated to employee benefits
and health insurance professionals in the
nation.
At the association's annual meeting, Ms.
Jennings passed the presidential role to
Jean Russell, President of BenefitsMart of
Burlington, MA, while Ms. Jennings was
installed as legislative chair for the
association. "As a professional organization
whose members help everyone in Massachusetts
understand their responsibilities with the
new health care reform law, and also help
them make sound decisions about their health
insurance needs, we have to be very diligent
in following the legislation in our state,
responding to draft regulations, and
translating the final regulations to our
clients." Jennings added, "I'm glad to have
Jean at the helm so that I can devote my
energies to this important legislative role
in the state - and in the upcoming national
election as well. Health care reform is the
top domestic issue for every candidate in
every state."
Ms. Jennings joined the Sylvia Group in 1987
and is a Registered Health Underwriter, a
Certified Long Term Care Consultant and a
Licensed Insurance Advisor.
